Everything you need to know about how HanditGo works — for senders, travelers, and anyone new to the platform.

For Senders
HanditGo is a peer-to-peer delivery marketplace that connects people who need items delivered internationally with real travelers already flying the same route. As a sender, you post a delivery request with your item details (description, weight, declared value, photos) and the route you need. Verified travelers browsing open requests on their routes can accept your delivery. Payment is held in escrow and only released to the traveler once you confirm the item arrived safely.
Yes — this is one of our most popular use cases. Order the item to the traveler's address, then the traveler carries it in their checked luggage. When creating your delivery request, paste the product URL and we'll auto-fill item details. You and the traveler agree on the pickup logistics through the in-app messaging system.
You can send most everyday items: electronics, clothing, accessories, cosmetics, documents, books, small gifts, phone parts, and online shopping orders. The item must be legal in both the origin and destination country, fit within the traveler's luggage capacity, and not appear on our Prohibited Items list. For documents specifically, select "Documents" as the item type — no product link is required.
Maximum declared value: $2,000 USD per delivery. For higher-value items, contact us at [email protected] for custom arrangements.
Maximum weight: 30 kg per delivery, subject to the individual traveler's available luggage capacity (which they set when posting their trip). Traveler capacity is always shown on their trip listing before you request.
Maximum weight: 30 kg per delivery, subject to the individual traveler's available luggage capacity (which they set when posting their trip). Traveler capacity is always shown on their trip listing before you request.
Your payment is held in escrow via PayPal from the moment you confirm a delivery match. The traveler cannot access your funds until you confirm receipt of the item in acceptable condition. If something goes wrong, you have 48 hours from the expected delivery date to open a dispute — escrow is frozen immediately and our team reviews the case within 5 business days.
Yes. Every delivery on HanditGo includes per-shipment insurance scaled to the declared value. The insurance premium is calculated and shown transparently in your fee breakdown before you confirm the request. Coverage includes loss due to theft, physical damage during transit, and confirmed non-delivery. Insurance does not cover damage from undisclosed fragility or items carried in violation of our terms.
The fee is calculated automatically based on the item's declared value, weight, and the route distance. You'll see the full fee breakdown (sender service fee + traveler payout + insurance premium) before confirming. The traveler earns between $8 and $90+ depending on item value and route length — this is shown upfront so both parties agree before matching.
Delivery is tied to the traveler's actual flight date. When you browse available trips, you see the departure date — so you choose your own speed. If you need something fast, filter by the nearest departure date. Same-day handover on arrival is possible when you coordinate with the traveler in advance via the app.
Open a dispute within 48 hours of the expected delivery date. Escrow is immediately frozen. Submit your evidence (photos, chat logs, tracking) and our team will issue a decision within 5 business days. If the traveler is found responsible, your escrow is refunded. Travelers who fail deliveries lose their collateral deposit and may be suspended.
Absolutely. Select "Documents" as your item type. Common document deliveries on HanditGo include university application papers, legal contracts, passports, residency certificates, and business documents. Documents are handled separately from parcels and have streamlined packaging requirements — typically a rigid envelope or tube provided by the sender.
Customs duties and import taxes at the destination are the sender's responsibility by default, unless you and the traveler agree otherwise in writing via the platform. Research the import duty thresholds of the destination country for your item type before posting. HanditGo provides a customs receipt for every delivery to assist with declarations.
Yes, but cancellation policies apply. You can cancel at no cost before a traveler accepts. After acceptance:
- More than 24 hours before departure: full escrow refund, no penalty
- Within 24 hours of departure: service fee is forfeited and a cancellation compensation is paid from your escrow to the traveler for their inconvenience
Items must be properly packaged before handoff. Use appropriate materials: bubble wrap + rigid box for fragile items, original box for electronics, sealed bags for clothing, and a rigid envelope or tube for documents. The traveler has the right to refuse items they believe are inadequately packaged or don't match the description. See the Sender Guidelines for full packaging requirements.

For Travelers
Post your upcoming trip (origin airport, destination airport, departure date, available luggage capacity in kg). Senders with packages on your route can request your help. You browse their requests, review item details and your payout, and accept what you're comfortable with. After you pick up the item, fly, and deliver it to the recipient — you confirm delivery and get paid. Payout goes to your linked PayPal account within 24 hours of the sender's confirmation.
Earnings range from $8 to $90+ per delivery, depending on two factors: the item's declared value and your route length. Higher-value items and longer routes (intercontinental) pay significantly more. Short regional hops with low-value items earn $8–$15; long-haul routes with high-value items can earn $60–$90+. See the full earnings table on the Earn page.
KYC (Know Your Customer) is a one-time identity check required before you can accept your first delivery. We use Didit, a secure identity verification platform. You'll photograph your government-issued ID (passport or national ID) and take a real-time selfie. The verification typically completes within minutes. You only need to do this once — your verified status applies to all future trips on HanditGo.
When posting a trip, upload a clear photo or PDF of your flight booking confirmation (e-ticket or airline booking page). HanditGo cross-checks your flight number, date, origin, and destination against AviationStack's real-time flight database. Your trip stays in "Pending Verification" until both the document check and database check pass. This usually takes less than an hour.
Before a delivery match is confirmed, you deposit collateral proportional to the item's declared value. This deposit is:
- Fully refunded within 24 hours after the sender confirms successful receipt
- Partially retained if you cancel within 24 hours of departure without cause
- Fully forfeited if the item is lost, damaged, or not delivered due to your negligence
Yes — all items must be declared truthfully to customs at the destination. HanditGo provides a customs receipt (commercial invoice equivalent) for every delivery to assist with declarations. You are the person carrying the item through customs and are legally responsible for your declarations. Customs duties, taxes, and any import fees are generally the sender's financial responsibility (agree this in advance via the app). Never make false declarations — HanditGo cooperates fully with customs and border authorities. Review the Carriage Conditions for full customs guidance.
You have full rights to inspect the item's external packaging before accepting. Take timestamped photos of the item at handoff — these are critical evidence if any damage dispute arises later. If the item appears tampered with, damaged, suspicious, or doesn't match the posted description, you may refuse it with no penalty. Never open sealed packages beyond surface inspection.
Yes — you can decline any request before accepting it, no reason required. Once you accept, refusal after the match is confirmed (but more than 24 hours before departure) triggers a partial collateral deduction for wasted coordination time. Within 24 hours of departure, it triggers a cancellation fee. You can never be penalized for refusing to carry items you reasonably believe are prohibited or dangerous.
Payment is released from escrow within 24 hours after the sender confirms receipt via the app. It's transferred directly to your linked PayPal account. Bank processing times after transfer are typically 1–3 business days depending on your country and bank. HanditGo charges zero platform fees on traveler earnings — what you see on the request is exactly what you receive.
HanditGo reviews all evidence from both parties. Your timestamped pickup and delivery photos, QR scan records, and in-app chat history are all used as evidence. Senders who submit false or bad-faith disputes face account suspension. If the dispute is resolved in your favor, your collateral is released immediately and the payment is transferred. False disputes are taken very seriously.
Yes. If a sender misrepresented item contents and you unknowingly carried a prohibited item, HanditGo will support you — provided you report the situation immediately upon discovery. Do not dispose of or tamper with the item. Contact [email protected] immediately. You must always review the Prohibited Items list before accepting any delivery — if you have any doubt about the contents, exercise your right to refuse or inspect.
Yes — you can accept multiple delivery requests for the same trip as long as your total available capacity (weight and space) covers all items. Each delivery has a separate match, collateral, and payout. Manage all active deliveries from your Traveler Dashboard. Keep each item separately packaged and identifiable to avoid confusion during handover.

Trust & Safety
Every user must complete KYC identity verification via Didit before they can send or carry deliveries. Verification requires a government-issued photo ID (passport or national ID) and a real-time selfie. Travelers additionally verify their flight booking confirmation against live aviation databases before any match is confirmed. Users who provide false identity information are permanently banned and may be reported to law enforcement.
Either party can open a dispute within 48 hours of the expected delivery date. Escrow funds are immediately frozen. Both parties submit evidence: photos, chat screenshots, delivery scan records, and any other documentation. HanditGo's resolution team reviews all evidence and issues a binding decision within 5 business days. Decisions may be appealed once within 7 days by providing new evidence not previously submitted. HanditGo's final decision is binding within the platform.
Every user has a trust score based on their transaction history: number of completed deliveries (travelers) or successful sends (senders), dispute history, cancellation rate, and ratings from counterparties. A higher trust score means:
- Travelers: reduced or waived collateral requirements on lower-value items, priority placement in sender searches
- Senders: faster traveler matching, access to top-rated travelers
We collect and store only the minimum data necessary to operate the platform. Identity verification data (government IDs and selfies) is processed by Didit — we do not store your ID documents on our servers. Payment card data is handled entirely by PayPal — we never see or store your card numbers. All data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.3, and sensitive stored data is encrypted with AES-256. See our full Privacy Policy.
Report it immediately through the in-app "Report" function or email [email protected]. For potentially illegal items, contact local authorities first. HanditGo takes all reports seriously and investigates within 24 hours. Do not carry any item you have reasonable grounds to believe is prohibited, regardless of what the sender claims.
HanditGo supports routes between 190+ countries. Our platform has no geographic restrictions on where travelers and senders can be based. However, both parties must ensure compliance with the import and export regulations of both countries on their route. Some item types (electronics, pharmaceuticals, food) have country-specific restrictions independent of HanditGo's own prohibited items policy.
All travelers complete mandatory KYC identity verification via Didit before they can accept their first delivery. Flight verification is required for every trip posted. We also maintain a live trust score system and review all dispute histories. While we cannot conduct criminal background checks in every jurisdiction, our multi-layer verification system ensures every traveler is a real, identified individual who has accepted accountability through the collateral system.

Payments & Fees
Payments are processed via PayPal, which supports major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and common regional payment methods. All transactions are in USD. The full fee breakdown is shown before you confirm a request — there are no hidden charges.
HanditGo charges a service fee on each completed delivery. The fee is calculated as a percentage of the traveler's payout and is shown transparently in the fee breakdown before you confirm. The breakdown shows: item delivery fee (traveler's payout) + HanditGo service fee + insurance premium. All amounts are in USD and finalized at booking — no surprise charges.
Travelers pay zero platform fees. The amount shown as your payout on a delivery request is exactly what you receive. HanditGo's service fee is charged to the sender only.
When a sender confirms a delivery match, their full payment (including fees and insurance premium) is immediately captured and held in an escrow account managed by PayPal. The funds cannot be accessed by either party during transit. The traveler's collateral is also held in escrow. Once the sender confirms receipt, the traveler's payout is released and collateral returned — all within 24 hours. If a dispute is opened, all funds are frozen until resolved.
All fees, payouts, and declared values on HanditGo are displayed in USD. Payment processing may involve currency conversion depending on your card's billing currency — your card issuer's exchange rate and any foreign transaction fees apply separately from HanditGo's charges.
Yes, within the cancellation policy:
- Before a traveler accepts: full refund, no fees charged
- After acceptance, more than 24h before departure: full escrow refund (service fee may be retained)
- After acceptance, within 24h of departure: service fee and a portion of escrow are forfeited as cancellation compensation to the traveler
Refunds to your original payment method are processed within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer. HanditGo initiates the refund immediately upon resolution — bank processing time varies by institution and country.
